The
process of spatialization is first and foremost the process of individualization. One does not recognize the Other in Self, but finds the
Space of the Other coinciding temporally with that of the Self. This is the Paradox at the root of most media dilemnas: can I cover up the fact that I am talentless by pouring garrulous drivel over every piece of crap I excrete, or simply swap technical proficiency for new ideas and hope no-one notices?
Better yet, announce it to the world tongue-in-cheekly yet obscurely so that I have a self-deprecating crutch to stand on when my footing finally slips out from under me, all the while knowing that somehow this short, bald and neurotic little ritalin boy manages to be quite pleased with himself regardless.
