A little network sniffing with carnivore, and the info breath (which, if you've been following, I recently got to breathe) now contains actual network traffic, materialized out of the air, literally! You can see the text updating as the stream of traffic coming into my wireless connection changes. Breathing airbound data onto the plant: the barebones concept at least is all there.
It's pretty clunky in processing, but I am scared to port to C++ as I barely even know processing at this point.
Now that the basic tech aspects are working*, I think I'll work on the cybernetic plant itself. During dinner at a nearby Cuban place tonight, Shelly came up with the lovely idea of sticking the piezo sensor where the stamen should be on a tulip. Recess that into a hole cut in frosted glass, project from the bottom, and I am envisioning something pretty lovely, albeit clunky code-wise...
Sorta like this:
*yeah, so I still have alot to do code-wise, like the plant actually filtering this mess, and the processing not being slow as hell, and the code not sucking, but I'm thinking minimum deliverables before I get any fancier, ya hear.
