When I first heard that some Japanese Designer was selling “designer” coconuts, I scoffed. I mean, I lived in Fiji for three years, and drank from tons of polished coconut shells. Who does this skinny designer think he is, taking credit for that… Then their bulky presence grew on me, and I fell in love with his coconuts. Whatever he is doing to those coconuts, it is working. These are intangible but definitely more beautiful than any of the hundred I saw in day to day life in Fiji. Too bad their online store doesn’t work…
