Many at the Media Centre have difficulties transferring large files to clients over the Internet. This workshop will show them how to upload files to Media Centre webspace and show the client how to retrieve their files

Vikash from ITS has called to say that there is a max of 600k files for upload to USP server, and so recommends MDB server instead. Time to rethink the entire approach!

Due to the 600kb filesize limit on USP servers, and the fact that no-one other than me at the Media centre has upload access to the MDB, there is currently no distributed way for us to regularly upload files to the Internet for clients. So, we are going to request a dedicated server for the Media Centre (see Media Centre Staging Server for past (failed) attempts at this) and in the meantime I will run a training session on hot to upload files using an Open Source CMS, MDB, and FTP, for staff's general knowledge
