Tracing our Ancestors is an interactive CD-rom on Pacific History, developed by the httpMedia Centre of the httpUniversity of the South Pacific, in Fiji. It was built as the finale of a httpResearch and Development project funded by the httpJapan International Care Organisation (JICA) that looked into how educational technology can be developed according to learning approaches of the South Pacific.

The CD-rom is available in languages from each of the 12 countries served by USP - the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu - and Vanuatu, and presents educational material not only thematically, but also according to a variety of learning approaches. There is a quick outline section, a more exploratory map interface, and a "test yourself" section, all available in a dozen different regional languages.
