This is an outgrowth from LapitaCd. Talking with Pat Nunn, Morgan Tuimaleali'ifano, Susan.Sela@usp.ac.fj, Pio.Manoa@usp.ac.fj, veracini_l@usp.ac.fj, I am thinking of a map of the Pacific with a slider to control the date. By moving the slider back and forth, the user can see immigration patterns, and by selecting from a set of criteria such as lapita lottery, affect on flora/ fauna, development of languages, sea craft, and even Tectonic Shift, can visualise some of the lessons of Pacific History. I see it as both an in-class teaching aid, and as a CD-Rom companion for extension courses.
