Maximising the Benefits of ICT/Multimedia in the South Pacific: Cultural Pedagogy and Usability Factors ()
31st July 2003
Basically as planned
Set up meetings with Suva academics, students and multimedia industry. Conduct online and library research on Usability Studies in USP region and Pacific Pedagogy Theory and Practice. Begin to contact remote centres.
Met with Suva academics, students and members of multimedia industry, as planned. Conducted online and library research on Pacific Pedagogy Theory and Practice. I have also begun to contact the remote centres, as planned.
The project was not authorized until over a month after the official start of project, so I have had to try to squeeze two months of work into one month.
I have been unable to find research on Usability studies in the USP region. It is my belief that none exist, as no academics nor industry members have been able to point me towards any, and my internet searches have proved fruitless.
countermeasures
Generally everything is off to a good start.
