This is the plan for an installation focusing on the human-plant interaction of
the information ecosystem on a more personal level. Rather than providing a broad overview of the process as presented by the
THEY stream (see DmMobileUnit), it inserts the participant into a small slice of life of the experience of the information ecosystem.
Breathing on an actual plant triggers a projection of information being blown towards the plant along with Co2. The plant then absorbs this Co2 and information, filters it, and releases it as changed information and o2.
I knew I wanted to create a interactive installation that allowed people to directly participate in information and carbon dioxide transfer with a plant, but it wasn't until I met with Joachim Sauter (DmJoachimSauter) that we came upon the solution of using the breath itself as the trigger as well as the vehicle for information transfer.
