Jim Drain

Jim Drain speaks like he makes, with 'awkward words that weave together as gangily and satisfyingly as his fabric works.' His garish maximalist energy and craft povera materials hit a different note than my wabi-sabi attempts, but I feel a connection to his work on a making level. Perhaps its the 'zany, mad-scientist' part that I actually feel I should avoid. Also, the whole Forth Thunder scene he was a part of is inspirational in an entirely different way.
