Allan Alo is a choreographer at the Oceania Centre at the University of the South Pacific, Fiji. From time to time the Media Centre collaborates with him for his performances. Below are projects I have been involved with.

Projectors and Mirros

Oceania Centre, University of the South Pacific, 4 November, 2004, 8-10pm: Inspired by the OceaniaNewMediaJam, I showed up with laptop and projector, and played some animations set to music over the dancers

The silhouettes of the dancers were stunning, but projecting directly into mirrors was rather dissapointing. Thinking some smoke might enhance it.

We will use the video and still images captured during this piece to project onto the dancers while they perform VA, the broken sinnet to get across a sense of fragmentation of identity.
